What we do with the details you send us when you enquire about building work.
Who we are
Devon Build and Carpentry is a building and carpentry firm owned by Adam Harrison, based at Okeleigh House, Langtree, Devon, EX38 8NG. We are the data controller for the information described on this page.
What we collect
When you use our enquiry form, email us or ring us, we collect the details you choose to give: your name, phone number, email address, postcode, the work you are enquiring about and anything you tell us about the property.
We do not collect payment card details through this website.
Why we use it
To respond to your enquiry, arrange a site visit, prepare an estimate or quote, and, if you go ahead, to carry out and administer the work. We also keep records of completed jobs so we can honour the 12-month workmanship guarantee.
Who we share it with
Only where it is needed to do the job: the certified trades we bring in (Part-P registered electricians, gas-registered plumbing engineers), our structural engineer on structural work, building control where the work is notifiable, and our insurers or accountants where required. We do not sell your details to anyone.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to work are kept for a reasonable period and then deleted. Records relating to completed jobs are kept longer, to cover guarantee, warranty, insurance and tax obligations.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Contact us and we will deal with it.
